Going from idea to ready for development.
Effective agile development requires concrete, small User Stories that incrementally build up to a coherent whole. This one day workshop guides product owners, developers and testers through the process of decomposing a feature or project into clear User Stories that can be individually implemented and tested.
We discover ways to prioritize and incrementally deliver our new feature, using Story Mapping to generate stories and epics. By taking individual stories and analysing them using Example Mapping, we learn how we can create a common understanding of the expected result. We formulate acceptance scenarios that allow a team to start implementing the functionality with no chance of misunderstandings.
Key learnings:
- Iterative Delivery
- Story Mapping
- Prioritisation
- Behaviour Driven Development
- Example Mapping
- Scenario writing
- Ubiquitous language
When you go back to work you will know how to bring refinement of stories to a new level. You will have a good understanding of the difference between requirements and examples and an appreciation for the value of discussing those examples while discovering the whole scope of your stories.
